Sign Up Information to be included in the Chefs Move to Schools Program
As part of her Let’s Move! childhood obesity initiative, the First Lady launched the Chefs Move to Schools program to encourage chefs to get involved in their communities. Chefs across the country are interested in volunteering their time to partner with a school and work with teachers, parents, school nutrition professionals, and administrators to help educate kids about food and nutrition, and these chefs are eager to get started. Schools that sign up will be placed on the Chefs Move to Schools program map and state list so that interested chefs and schools can find each other in the weeks and months ahead to begin a dialogue on how to work together.
If you are an administrator or principal of a K-12 school interested in coordinating efforts with a chef in your community, please sign up here. Within a week after registering, schools will receive an email on how to connect with a chef in their community.
Information will remain on the Chefs Move to Schools website and database for the duration of the program. To request to have your information removed, please contact chefs@ars.usda.gov.
