Abstract:    University of Minnesota Extension offers a variety of food safety courses and certifications for food professionals and staff. In-person trainings are offered year-round and statewide. Online training lets you learn at your own pace, at times convenient to you. Self-study programs use video, narration, activities and interactive exercises. Spanish courses may be available. The following are offered for food professionals and staff:

  • Initial certification for food managers
  • Certification renewal for food managers
  • Food Safety employee training
  • Food allergen training for food service employees
