As the rate of overweight and obesity continues to rise in children, it is incredibly important to encourage children to eat more fruits and vegetables. Fruits of vegetables are filling and healthy and schools and school systems are constantly thinking of new ways to encourage their students to make healthy lifestyle resources. This resource, developed by North Dakota with a Team Nutrition grant gives many ideas and lesson plans for teaching children about healthy eating and ways of adding more fruits and vegetables to school meals.
Some of the information in this resource is based on MyPyramid.
